BiG World Fixpack

Why not submit these patches to the BiG World Fixpack?

(It already has basic HANDLE_CHARSET etc. patches and some bugfixes for this mod, but it looks like you made additional fixes.)

The BiG World Fixpack is automatically applied when installing mods via the BiG World Setup mod manager, which is popular among newbies (although it only works on Windows).

Mac and Linux users can install the Fixpack using WeiDU, after manually extracting mods into their game folder.

It's really the central place nowadays for bugfix and EE/EET compatibility patches for old abandoned mods.

Well, actually they asked to implement their fixes. Patches are convenient to distribute small changes, but in WMA 2.0 basically everything was rewritten, components rearranged, etc. I wouldn't mind if someone were to submit all that as a patch, but I see little point in it. If they want to use 2.0 version, it's easier to point BWP to source it from github.

Ah, so this effectively becomes the "new official" version of the mod?

As long as the original author doesn't have a problem with it, this is indeed a better solution.

Official is a strong word, I just make my fixes and publish them for people to use if they want.
